NDUGA - In a heartwarming display of unity and faith, the Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif) Raider 432, part of the HABEMA Operations Command, participated in a Sunday worship service alongside the local community at Imanuel Church, Mbua District, Nduga Regency, Papua Pegunungan, on Sunday (02/16/2025).
"Happy Sunday, God Bless, " said Sergeant Sammy Itlay, a proud son of Wamena, as he stood among fellow worshippers, embracing the sacred moment of prayer and togetherness.
Soldiers and Community Unite in Worship and Brotherhood
The Sunday service was filled with joy and devotion, as the Airborne Soldiers of the 432nd Battalion joined the congregation in fulfilling their Christian duties. More than just a religious gathering, the service also served as a moment of connection between the TNI soldiers and the local community, strengthening their bond of mutual respect and trust.
During the sermon, Pastor Amis delivered an inspiring message, quoting scripture:
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal."
He continued, emphasizing that both the Mbua community and the soldiers must dedicate their work to God, ensuring that their efforts bear fruit that lasts forever.
Appreciation for Soldiers' Presence and Support
Following the service, Sertu Ridolof, a senior member of the congregation, expressed deep gratitude:
"We truly appreciate the presence of our brothers from the 432nd Battalion. Their unwavering support and guidance have allowed us to worship peacefully, with wisdom and security."
